Feeding America – US Hunger Relief Organization
Hunger affects people from all walks of life. Across the country millions struggle to get by because of underemployment, stagnant wages and the rising cost of living. They are forced to make tough choices between buying food and paying bills. In fact, more than 40 million people face hunger in the U.S. today — including more than 12 million children and nearly five million seniors. Feeding America is a hunger relief organization with a nationwide network of 200 food banks feeding the hungry and leading the fight against hunger in the United States. Through community support, they are able to provide food for over 46 million people through a variety of food pantries and meal programs. Feeding America also supports programs that improve food security, while also educating the public about the problem of hunger, and advocating for legislation that protects people from going hungry. You can support through action or donation. Together, we all play a heroic role in ending hunger.
