In today’s product-laden world, there exists an essential connection between good design and sustainability. Where good design has the potential to create a better planet, as opposed to negatively impacting it. With sustainability baked into their DNA, San Francisco based Sunski is committed to making a positive impact on our community and the planet. As an early pioneer of sunglasses made from recycled plastic, Sunski was looking for a more environmentally friendly solution to producing their fashionable shades, but couldn’t find a sustainable material they liked. So they invented one.
Sunski also avoids adding more single-use plastic to the world by using recycled packaging with innovative origami folds instead of plastic or glue. And, as a supporter of 1% for the Planet, Sunski donates a portion of all sales to a variety of environmental nonprofits.
